Desert Islands Watersports Centre
From late 2011, Desert Islands will offer the opportunity to experience the best of both the sailing and the diving world with the opening of the Desert Islands Watersports Centre.
The centre will offer both sailing lessons and sunset cruises, as well as diving expeditions and certifications for new divers.
Located in a major non-fishing zone that stretches 8kms from the shores of Sir Bani Yas Island, the waters around the island offer a wide variety of marine life, much of which is unique to the region.
The Watersports centre will feature:

- Amwaj restaurant & lounge
- Reception lobby
- Diving pool
- Retail outlet
- Terrace
- Kit issue Centre
- Medical clinic
Development of the Centre will ensure use of environmentally smart initiatives including techniques for smart water consumption reduction, sustainable lighting and irrigation strategies and waste management.
