Our Code of Conduct

To help ensure that nature and wildlife comes first on our islands, both staff and visitors are asked to adhere to a code-of-conduct. Here are some of the rules we live by:

  1. We always give animals have the right of way.
  2. We observe the maximum speed limit of 50km/h.
  3. We stay on the paved or gravel roads at all times. We never drive off-road.
  4. We obey the marine sanctuary we live in, and we do not fish from the shore or within eight (8) kilometres of the shorelines.
  5. We do not discard litter other than in the designated areas.
  6. We are quiet when viewing the animals and keep a safe distance from them.
  7. We do not race or chase the animals.
  8. We only allow specially trained animal handlers feed the animals.
  9. We do not damage or remove any flora or fauna.
  10. We do not remove rocks, stones, and/or any other materials from the natural habitat.
  11. We do not disturb any of the archaeological sites.
